The Nevada Athletic Commission revealed ahead of a meeting Tuesday that former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva failed both his pre- and post-fight drug tests from UFC 183.

Previously, it had been reported that Silva failed a test given to him in early January, weeks ahead of his victory over Nick Diaz.

The commission confirmed that Silva had drostanolone metabolites in his system during the pre-fight drug test, while the post-fight test came back positive for oxazepam and temazepam.

Drostanolone is a performance-enhancing drug that was also found in the initial test, while oxazepam and temazepam are both medications used to treat anxiety and insomnia.
