Alexander Shlemenko and Brett Cooper know each other well, both training out of Reign Training Center. With their upcoming Bellator title fight, Shlemenko had to change facilities to train.
“I would say we know each other very well but I’m confident I can put together something secret for Brett and he’ll be preparing something secret for me,” said Shlemenko on Verbal Submission. “We know each other very well but of course there will be something new for us in this fight.”
The Bellator middleweight champ Shlemenko spent time at HB Ultimate and Blackhouse in preparation of headlining Bellator 98. It will be a rematch from their 2011 encounter, which saw Shlemenko take the decision.
Shlemenko won the vacant title in February against Maiquel Falcao. Though Cooper lost in the Season 8 tournament finals, an injury to Doug Marshall changed plans.
Bellator 98 is tomorrow, September 7. The main card airs on Spike TV and it comes from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.
