Aleksander Emelianenko Sentenced Four-Plus Years In Prison

According to a report from the Associated Press, Aleksander Emelianenko has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison on an aggravated sexual assault conviction.

Emelianenko (23-7) is the brother of former heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko.

Aleksander Emelianenko fought for PRIDE and M-1 during his career, which includes a bout in January 2014 vs. Dmitry Sosnowski. Two months later the 33-year-old attacked a female cleaning his apartment and stole her passport.

During his MMA career, Emelianenko fought the likes of Josh Barnett, Mirko CroCop and current interim UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum.
