Al Iaquinta will indeed fight this October – assuming all remains on schedule.
After seeing Anthony Njokuani bow out due to injury, Iaquinta was unsure if he would still be competing at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Munoz in England next month.
Well, his worries were put to rest on Wednesday, as officials booked “Raging” to face Piotr Hallmann. Iaquinta confirmed the bout with FightLine.
“I’m happy I still get to go over to England and get back in there,” Iaquinta said. “I think it will be a fun fight and it’s a good match up for me.”
Iaquinta (6-2-1) earned his first UFC victory earlier this year, defeating Ryan Couture. He is a former Ultimate Fighter finalist and was pegged to replace Paul Taylor originally on the card.
Hallman (14-1) has won 10 straight fights, including a submission victory over Francisco Trinaldo in his Octagon debut earlier this month. Of his 14 wins, six have come via submission and seven by knockout.
