Adlan Amagov wasn’t happy with his UFC debut, though he did leave the victor. In his second outing at UFC 166, he only needed a few minutes to knockout TJ Waldburger.
“I had something to prove,” said Amagov through a translator to MMA Fighting. “Last fight, I didn’t have my whole team with me. The training was great, but everything else wasn’t good, so this fight I had to prove myself.”
The win makes Amagov 13-2 and he joined the UFC after posting a 1-1 record for Strikeforce. The Russian has taken six wins via knockout.
Waldburger has been with the UFC since 2010 and is 4-3. This was his first fight in close to a year.
UFC 166 was headlined with Cain Velasquez retaining his heavyweight title over Junior dos Santos. It was yesterday, October 19.
