Abdul-Kerim Edilov Fails Pre-Fight Drug Test Before Debut

Abdul-Kerim Edilov

Abdul-Kerim Edilov has come under the watchful eye of the USADA after failing a pre-fight drug test, the UFC confirmed recently.

Edilov (16-4), who has won each of his last 10 pro fights via first round finish, was set to make his debut in January against Francimar Barroso at UFC Fight Night 81. However, a knee injury knocked him off the card and out of the night.

That doesn’t mean the USADA left him alone, and now, it remains uncertain if he will get his shot inside the Octagon.

Below is the complete statement released by the UFC:

“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.

Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
