Cage Warriors has decided to release Aaron Wilkinson following his second round stoppage win at Cage Warriors 60. He was 2-1 for the promotion and had an exclusive contract that would expire in January.
“We’ve got four more big shows scheduled between now and the end of the year, but all of the cards are already stacked,” said Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan. “So unfortunately, there’s no room for Aaron to fight once more before his contract expires.”
During The Ultimate Fighter 12, Wilkinson made it to the quarterfinals. He was defeated in his only UFC appearance. Last year, he joined Cage Warriors by submitting Leigh Cohoon then losing in a decision to Alan Johnston.
No news on what’s next for Wilkinson.
