Combined, Mitchell and Cabral have submitted 19 of the 22 opponents they’ve beaten, so each clearly knows a thing or two about BJJ. The duo should also be in “all-out” mode when the cage door closes based on it being Cabral’s Octagon debut and Mitchell’s attempt at avoiding release after a TKO loss to Mike Pierce. Expect some furious scrambles on the ground with any finish likely involving a slick submission, maybe even of the technical variety.
MMA fans are in for a mid-week treat thanks to the lineup for UFC Fight Night 29. Tomorrow night’s show is littered with evenly-matched meetings between some sublimely skilled competitors including submission-specialists, power-punching strikers, and top shelf takedown artists. There show has a ton of potential, as do a handful of its offerings when it comes to candidates all but guaranteed to contend for one of the evening’s “____ of the Night” bonuses.
